Interesting facts about Venus

Some facts about the planet, second in sequence from the Sun in Solar system, the Venus. Very few of us show interest in Venus, but it is a very mysterious planet in the Solar system, once you know those facts you will also be attracted to the Venus. 1) Mercury is closest to the sun, this is true. However, because of its proximity to the sun it lacks an atmosphere. Mercury's gaseous molecules reached escape velocity long ago and the atmosphere was 'burned off' leaving a vacant wasteland of rock with a similar surface to the earth's moon. There is nothing to hold in solar radiation, thus is flies out into space. Venus is a different story. Its atmosphere is primarily composed of more than 96% of carbon dioxide - the primary green house gas, which acts like a one-way door. The solar heat enters, but it cannot leave. Thus, an oven is created and create a temperature of 735K (462℃; 863°F) on its surface. This is why Venus has no water. Pictures suggest that Venus o...

Red blood cells and its importance

The main function of red blood cells is the transport of oxygen from the lungs to the body's cells. Red blood cells contain a protein called hemoglobin that actually carries that oxygen. In capillaries, oxygen is released to be used by the body's cells. Ninety-seven percent of the oxygen carried by the blood from the lungs is carried through hemoglobin. The other 3 percent is dissolved in the plasma. Hemoglobin allows blood to move 30 to 100 times more oxygen than could possibly be dissolved in the plasma alone. In the lungs, where the oxygen level is high, hemoglobin combines loosely with oxygen. The hemoglobin then easily releases that oxygen into the capillaries, where the oxygen level is low. In each molecule of hemoglobin there are four iron atoms. Each iron atom binds with one molecule of oxygen. The iron in hemoglobin is what gives blood its red color. Thirty-three percent of a red blood cell is hemoglobin. The normal concentration of hemoglobin is 15.5 grams per decili...

Demonstrative Pronouns

The words this, that, those, that, so, the same, one, when used alone are Demonstrative Pronouns ; when used with nouns, they are adjectives (So can not be used as an adjective). This (or that) is my house. Such (=what was suggested) was not my object. What I mean is this. These are called Demonstrative Pronouns as they point out some objects to which they refer. Some examples and their uses are given below:    This and these refer to something that is near to the speaker in position, time or thought; that and those denoting something being more distant. This house is ours, not that.    When two nouns have been mentioned before, this refers to the latter, and that refers to the former. Reading and playing are both necessary; this gives us enjoyment, that gives knowledge. Dogs are more faithful than cats; these attach themselves to places, and those to persons.    They are often used for preceding nouns and clauses. This book is be...
